Q. WHAT NEEDS TO BE SHOWN ON PACK?
A. There are no specific theme for this contest. We simply ask participant to prepare their projects based on colour requirement: All variations of grey (black and white included) + one other unique color. On the pack template you will download, there are elements which will need to be placed and visible on the pack:
- Fred Logo - Health Warning boxes (different size for Switzerland and Germany) - Bar Code - Product Origine - Additive Free prevention message
Software: Thanks to use one of the following sofware to remit your project - For pictures: Photoshop (CS4 max), CMYK, save in .psd with all layers visible and picture in 300 dpi - For object/drawings: Illustrator (CS4 max). Do not outline your text and include the various fonts you have used. If you include images from Photoshop, please adjust size directly in Photoshop and include images in Illustrator.
non electronic documents You can work at a 300% scale. We will then scan your artwork and convert it in an acceptable format for print.
We have chosen to produce the 5 winning projects on BOX packs. This format offers several advantages compared to soft and pocketbox packs: you have more space for your artwork and manufacturing is slightly easier for small quantities. We will print the winning design on both German and Swiss packs. As local packaging legislation is different in both countries, we encourage you to adjust your artwork to both packs as there can be variance due to size of health warning boxes and positioning of tax sticker on German packs. Please take into consideration these requirements so that you design can be fully visible once the pack is mounted. Last advise: we encourage you to make mock-ups of your packs so that you will get the same feeling as the Jury when then will select the 5 winning designs.
Q. WHAT ARE THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS?
